Fiscal Watchdog Organization Endorses Irvine Commissioner Carrie O’Malley in Campaign for City Council
IRVINE, Calif. – This week, Irvine City Council candidate Carrie O’Malley was endorsed by the Orange County Taxpayers Association PAC. This endorsement adds to the growing list of Irvine stakeholders and leadership that are supporting Mrs. O’Malley’s candidacy, including Irvine Mayor Donald P. Wagner and State Assemblyman Steven Choi.
“We are proud to endorse Carrie O’Malley as she shares the mission of the Orange County Taxpayers Association PAC, which is to ensure that taxes and tax-supported programs are fair, understandable, cost-effective, and good for the economy.” said OCTax PAC President Emeritus Reed Royalty.
“I am beyond thrilled to have the support of the Orange County Tax Payers Association PAC,” said Mrs. O’Malley. “As the current Chair of the Irvine Taxpayers Association, I am running for City Council in part to ensure Irvine residents have confidence in the way their tax dollars are spent and collected. I will continue to fight for cost-effective policies, including protection from over-taxation.”
An active Irvine community member, Carrie O’Malley is an appointed Commissioner and Vice Chair on the Irvine Transportation Commission, Chair of the Irvine Taxpayers Association, and Vice President of the Board of Directors of her Homeowners’ Association in Northpark, where she is an original homeowner. Mrs. O’Malley is also a twenty-year Member of the Junior League of Orange County and has been involved with countless successful efforts to help the Orange County community. She and her husband, John, have been married for nearly two decades and enjoy spending family time with their two teenage children, Shannon and Jack. In her free time, Mrs. O’Malley enjoys attending her children’s baseball and basketball games, long-distance running on Irvine’s beautiful trails, and contributing her time and talents to helping the residents of Irvine.
